Vaiola
The Vaiola is one of three mortar headds designated part of Zebee Corter’s masterpiece series the "Kormals" (Viewlard’s Branji/Biblos is also one of these) which is an old design (600 years). It was considered one of the most powerful mortar headds in its day, but now it is merely "above average" in a galaxy full of Sirens, A-Tolls and Bang Dolls – not to mention the entire Mirage fleet.
In 2992, the Vaiola was piloted by ace headliner pilot Ian König in the service of the Pied Piper Mercenary Knight Corp (working for Di Barrow of Shiburu) but it was disabled by Aisha Codante riding in the newly awakened Terror Mirage. Aisha decided to disable the Vaiola rather than destroy it, for Aisha knew that Sop would be sad to see such a unique mortar headd brought to ruin).
Instead of having a veil, the Vaiola possesses a pair of "blade catchers" which are attached to its forearms and are used to deflect blades and beam attacks.
